Quality child care and pre-K programs prepare your child to enter kindergarten ready to learn and succeed. Nearly 50% of children in Philadelphia start kindergarten behind, and 44% of third-graders are not reading at grade level. Quality pre-K reduces grade repetition and the need for special education services.
